This comic is amazing. Up in the (beautifully rendered) abstract corner of the comics continuum, yet still telling a captivating story! It’s giving off this feeling of rich symbolism, but in a flowing, scribbly, spontaneous-looking style. The way you use lines and color and ink and paper, there’s so much meaning packed into such a little space. And the concept of it is mind-boggling.
As a fellow artist, I am totally inspired. Your art stimulated my brain. Thank you for putting so much time into this! It totally shows (in a good and non-distracting-from-the-story way).
(Also, Whovian high-five!)
Thank you so much! I’m so often unsure of what to say in reply when people write such lovely comments as yours that I worry I’ll seem ungrateful. But suffice it to say that you, like all of this comic’s fans, are enjoying it in precisely the manner I had hoped for, which makes me happier than words can describe. If you are finding symbolism in it, then even better; I highly encourage my readers to interpret things in as many ways as they can, even if it doesn’t seem as though I did it on purpose (I probably didn’t).
…After all, to the rational mind, nothing is inexplicable — only unexplained. 😉
The fact that the Corpse actually looks *afraid* – just, gah! Love it!
